Affiliate marketing is another marketing strategy that can be used to generate revenue for your business. The idea is to generate traffic from different sources, such as webpages, vlogs, and practically anywhere you can post a link or a banner. The long-term goal is to generate passive leads from relevant sources that believe in your product. Learn more about its technicalities by watching this video.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is basically using paid or revenue-split links, or sometimes not even real money, but just a link game. Some people link between each other, for example you would have one website linking to another, just to generate more traffic and connections; sometimes it even produces authority.

Good for Passive Revenue

Affiliate marketing is a very good marketing strategy for businesses that are looking to become passive.

Let’s say I am a blog, and I am going to write a lot of articles that are going to help people find the best tents out there. Then what they are going to do is they are going to click on the links on my blog, and I could be chilling and just making money off those clicks that the vendor who is selling these tents is going to pay me for that traffic or for those sales, sometimes both.

Some companies will pay you only for sales; sometimes people will pay you just for the traffic, and sometimes people will even keep the cookie when somebody clicks for 30 days.

So, look at those affiliate marketing programs; when you choose them, sometimes they will tell you that they will keep your cookie for 60 days.
