The brand-new restaurant named “Motek” introduces South Florida to superb, healthy food with its authentic and delicious Mediterranean cuisine.
This new business had no prior optimizations on its domain. The website was clean!
Project Goals
The main goal was to attract new customers and make the website completely mobile-friendly, because during COVID, being mobile-friendly proved to be a very important factor for the increase in organic traffic. Improving technical site optimizations as well. Another goal was pushing local SEO and optimizing Google Maps.
Breaking Down the Steps
The process of reaching the mentioned goals included addressing algorithm updates, improving overall website performance, and local SEO optimization.
Addressing Algorithm Updates
During this short-term project, the work first addressed the algorithm updates during business closures in 2020 and 2021, so it was optimized for mobile-first indexing, because one of the goals was to improve the user experience for smartphone users looking to order food or find a great restaurant to visit when restrictions were lifted.
Local SEO Optimization
To maximize online potential, local SEO was pushed for, and the Google Maps listing was optimized! Technical site optimizations and page upgrades were also implemented, but Google Maps proved to be the lowest-hanging fruit!
Results
After local SEO and mobile optimization, results came in quickly.
Improved Website Performance
Utilizing a new version of the website with Elementor and NitroPack for website performance improved Motek’s user experience, search engine ranking, and conversion rates.
Google Maps Updates
The work included Google Maps menu updates to promote Motek’s dishes and keep things interesting for its diners with images and proper descriptions. It was ensured that images are yummy for search engine bots as well!
SEO Marketing Is More Profitable Than Google Ads
After the increase in organic traffic, it was concluded that Google Ads were not as profitable as SEO, and the standard process of providing the best user experience was key.
