Your website is an important asset especially if your business heavily relies on it. You need to make sure that you have set aside some money for repairs and maintenance. But how much does a repair cost? Our SEO Expert and web developer share the usual price range and tips to avoid repairs in the first place.

How Much Does It Cost to Repair a Website?

It depends on the size of the website, it depends on the complexity. On the most basic level, if it’s something like a Wix, Shopify, or WordPress, non-ecommerce website, that should be easy. Anything from five hundred dollars to ten thousand dollars, on the extreme cases, but again, ten thousand dollars to fix a website doesn’t make any sense. In those prices developers will tell you “I’ll just build you a new one and migrate everything”. So just take that into consideration when a developer tells you “Hey I’ll build you a new one”. Don’t be frightened, they will migrate everything, well hopefully successfully, depends on the developer, but it shouldn’t be an issue if you have a backup of the website, so if anything happens you still have the old one and you can still use it. That’s also a very good tip for web developers to always backup. I know a lot of them don’t, I don’t know why. Just back up your stuff, put it on a little flash drive, put it on your Google Drive, and put it on the client’s computer, just make sure you have redundancy that you don’t only have one backup and then, I don’t know your, dog ate it, okay.
