Some might not know what email marketing is and some have already considered it as a common term. The truth is that the effectiveness of email marketing depends on the database you have, the number of emails, and how organized it is. Knowing that email marketing has been used for over a decade, we will discuss the effectiveness of this technique.
What Is Email Marketing?
Email marketing is one of the oldest forms of marketing in the modern era. Email marketing can be a headache, but it is not bad if you already have a built system.
You Have to Be Concrete
Starting to do it is kind of ‘eh,’ and you also need to have a database. If you have only 3,000 to 4,000 emails, how many emails are you going to send? Two, three, and then you are going to start losing them, or they are going to report you for spamming them. You need to be very concrete when you use email marketing.
Organization Is Very Important
For example, you need to have organization. If you want to send an email marketing campaign for people who like cats, you have to make sure you have the data for people who like cats. You want to make sure that these people actually like cats, so anybody who is going to put a like on this video or put a comment on it and is going to subscribe from this video because they like a bullet, then I know I can send them a cool video, and a cool video with a cat.
Lots of Maintenance
But most companies don’t actually keep organized data. They have one person managing it; then he quits or whatever, and then the data gets mashed up like mashed potatoes. It does not work very well; there is a lot of maintenance.
Usually, there is one person in the whole company who manages all of that, and even he is overwhelmed: “I get 10 to 20 thousand emails a month; I need to sort them out and organize them.” It’s not for small businesses; it could work, but not always.
