Nathan Gaidai – Cybersecurity Director

Nathan is an integral part of the SEO Jokers team, bringing a unique depth of experience merging web development expertise – built on a foundation of core technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and PHP – with advanced cybersecurity knowledge. From early on, his focus has been on building user-centric digital platforms, an approach now thoroughly integrated with robust security considerations.

As a native Russian speaker, Nathan gained early access to segments of the internet often inaccessible to others. This provided direct insight into the early internet’s rougher edges – the underground communities and dark net marketplaces from the dial-up days of Netscape, Kazaa, and CyberBazar – back when giants like Google and Amazon were just starting out. This wasn’t about participation, but about gaining crucial, hands-on experience with emerging tactics in black-hat SEO (before it even was a term), malware distribution, and sophisticated scam and phishing prevention, knowledge now used to help mitigate risks and develop effective staff training for clients.

“SEO is at the crossroads where technology meets business. The problem is that there is a guy lurking in the bushes.”

Turns out, knowing how the internet’s pranksters and villains operate is pretty handy. At SEO Jokers, Nathan uses that know-how to shield clients from online headaches. His work involves implementing strong cybersecurity measures and deflecting sneaky phishing scams aimed at staff. He focuses on building and maintaining secure digital infrastructure for clients. His expertise includes handling the fallout from incidents like ecommerce fraud, website hijacking, and ransomware attacks, often coordinating with law enforcement agencies as needed during the response and recovery process. Separately, his advanced skillset includes deploying techniques like decoy environments (honeypots), which can be used in proactive efforts – sometimes in coordination with law enforcement – to expose malicious actors and neutralize larger threats. Basically, he handles the digital dark arts so clients don’t have to.

Beyond the direct cybersecurity work, Nathan channels his comprehensive background into delivering exceptional SEO results. He champions ethical, “White Hat” SEO strategies, ensuring clients build rankings the right way (“sticking to the good stuff”). He’s adept at resolving complex technical SEO challenges, from Google Search Console penalties and crawling/indexing issues (including robots.txt and site errors) to handling website migrations and optimizing platforms like WordPress and Google My Business.

It could be many things at once. The main reasons we encounter are Snake Oil SEO, Low-Quality SEO, and Technical SEO issues. For example the lack of a secure connection (SSL), duplicate content, thin content, bad user experience, intrusive popups, unfriendly mobile design, and slow page loading times.

Yes. But the real question is: “Are you ready to learn web development and SEO best practices?”.

When using good web and  white Hat SEO best practices, according to Google, you should expect to see positive results after 6 to 8 months.

Don’t do Black Hat SEO. Do not buy links. Do not pay for blogs on other websites. Do not use AI for content generation. Educate yourself and your team in SEO & Web best practices.

SEO is the future but it is also the past. SEO is not something new, it’s been going on “forever”. SEO is almost as old as the internet itself.

Your blog is the heart of your website. This is where most of your keywords, phrases, and the bulk of the content are. A blog on a website functions like a library at a university.

For example, a local Toyota dealership will write about their new in-stock hybrid models. In turn, search engines will populate them locally for searches such as “hybrid toyota near me”.

Beyond the Pixels

Outside of his digital work, Nathan coaches gymnastics and martial arts, holds a certification as a personal trainer, and is Israel’s former Kickboxing Champion. And is a Native Russian and Hebrew speaker.
